Seventeen were at the cream tea at the Inspire café and we were able to sit outside. The food was good and very fresh. The staff were very pleasant and kept us supplied with drinks. Good value and a very pleasant afternoon.

A good night was had at Saffron. It was a lovely sunny day, a few of us went for a drink in the Old Town before hand. Only four turned up for the meal but we had a really enjoyable evening with one new member joining us. Debbie
The festival is about the War of the Roses between the Lancastrians and the Yorkist. There were two battle enactments; Battle of St Albans and the Battle of Barnet. A running commentary explained the history of the battles. We experienced the life as it use to be in a medieval village. Medieval enthusiasts explained their given skills with various demonstrations and talks throughout the day. The musicians played, talked about their instruments and encouraged audience medieval dancing participation. Bet you don’t know how the ladies handbag got its name?
Lisa & Des So we had our Boxmoor Beat reunion on the 10th June at Adeyfield Community Centre, with a great turn out. Good to see regular members and some ‘old faces’ from the past. Dancing was amazing, Jive, The Stroll & Charleston. The £10 entry was in aid of charity. Definitely a night you wouldn't want to miss, especially reuniting with previous members. Becky & Joanne
Quiet a good turnout at June's Club Night. We had 1 new member join us and 1 potential member take a membership form home. The raffle followed our regular Newsletter presentation then an entertaining session of Play Your Cards Right
An enjoyable day, live 1940’s music you could get up a dance to. Interactive exhibits & various talks about planes, pilot’s uniforms and poor working conditions. We finished our day at Broadlakes social club and saw Pat and the Butchers. Lisa & Des Thanks to everyone for coming & helping me do my May walking challenge for Pancreatic Cancer and Kids in Action charities. Definitely less of a chore when chatting as we walk & a stop for coffee in between. I’ve had a thoroughly enjoyable morning
A fun family day out where you get to see various classic cars, live music which you can get up a dance, bike stunt show which never fails to amaze and remote control car racing , great fun to watch, looks like mini banger racing.
Lisa & Des A busy Boogie Nights at the football club was well supported with 25 Social Friends members. Music from DJ Alex was well received and it didn't take long for the dance floor to swell. Our thanks go out to Stan for another great night's entertainment and Little Reg for spinning Sheila jiving around the dance floor. Martin
The Full House evening was very quiet and mellow but we had some great value food and the service was terrific. Look forward to seeing you there in June. Lyn
