The Snow Centre was on overload with Reg & Yogi’s soul entertainment dial turned to extreme. Young Jean and Bill owned the dance floor all night. It was really nice to see some new faces amongst the thirty Social Friends members enjoying themselves.
Social Friends virtual reality bowling trophy went to Ann B. The recently refurbished Garston venue at Woodside is ultra-modern allowing an individual player to select barriers up or down. We hope to see more members next month taking advantage of the really competitive game rate of £3.78, Congratulations Ann B.
A brilliant show direct from the West End covering all
the Motown favourites, and preceded with a meal
in the nearby Wetherspoons.
Despite the light patchy rain, we had a lovely walk around Chesham Bois this morning. The trees were an array of beautiful colours and at the bottom of a woodland track we found the most interesting burial ground.
We finished our walk with refreshments in Poppins Café in Chesham High Street and proudly watched the Remembrance parade pass by.
It was nice to meet up with thirteen Social Friends members new and old at the Hemel Garden Centre this morning. We were fortunate to get seats in the conservatory and with the sun shining it was the perfect location to have a chat, coffee and sampling the wonderful cake on offer.
We had a great evening dancing the night away at Hemel Football Club. It took a little longer to get going than normal but we eventually got some great tunes out of DJ Alex. I believe there were a few sore heads on Saturday but a good time was had by all who attended.
