Last week Social Friends spent the week in sunny Benalmadena on the Costa Del Sol in Spain, and what a fantastic week it was. Our hotel, The Best Triton was ideally situated near the marina, close to shops, bars and transport terminals.
Some of us visited Mijas, which is situated in the hills above Fuengirola. It is a typical and beautiful white walled Andalucian traditional village, famous for it's leather wear and the donkeys they use to ferry the tourists around the village.

We, of course, all had to be seen in Marbella and Puerto Banus where the rich and famous have holiday homes, moor their yachts and frequent the boutiques and bars.
Unfortunately we didn't bump into anyone remotely famous but did get our photo taken next to some impressively large yachts and cars. (See our gallery for more photos of our Social Friends holiday).

We caught the tourist 'road train' from Puerto to Tivoli where the Teleferico cable car took us 800 metres up near to the summit of the Calamorro mountain. We then had to walk and climb the rest of the way to the summit where there were superb views accross Benalmadena and of the Mediterranean sea.
We all had a great time and are looking forward to next year's holiday. For more info on joining Social Friends, please email socialfriendshemel@gmail.com
